Online motorcycle insurance quote - how to get one

Getting an online motorcycle insurance quote is very convenient, but the online motorcycle quote that you get may not be accurate. You may be in for a surprise if you don’t carefully check the information that you send in for the quote, and check the information you receive when you are given a quote.

Start with the information that you are supplying on the form. If you omit any information, or if you get any information wrong, the quote that you receive will not be accurate. You need to remember that this is just a quote. You are not applying for the insurance, and by supplying wrong information, or omitting information, you won’t be doing yourself any favors.

You cannot fool the insurance companies. Omitting information will not get you a lower rate, because when you actually apply for the insurance, the insurance company will get a copy of your driving record, and possibly a copy of your credit report as well. They may require pictures of the motorcycle, or they may require you to bring the motorcycle to an agency for inspection. If you’ve omitted any information – whether it was on purpose or on accident – the insurance company will find out during the application process.

Most online quote sites don’t allow for discount information. In other words, if you are eligible for specific discounts, you won’t see those discounts when the comparisons are done. You will need to contact the insurance companies for a more accurate quote that includes your discounts.

After you get your online motorcycle insurance quote, call the insurance companies for a more accurate quote, and apply for the insurance over the telephone if possible, as opposed to applying online. This way you can be sure that you are getting the most accurate quote possible.

Yes , it's normal………..seems that high credit risks are associated with bad driving……….for the life of me, I don't understand their logic …..don't worry, it's done all the time…….

It will depend a lot on the displacement of that Ninja and where in Ontario you live but I'll tell you now that it will be E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E, if any of the insurance companies even take you on that is.. If you attend a riding school, most companies will at least give you the equivalent of one year's riding experience so look into if one of your local colleges' offers a weekend course.

    Hmmm…. Odd….

I did a quote on Progressive Insurance and I did a 600cc bike (so as every bike I thought I would get, ended up getting a 125cc and paid $200.00 for a year) and it basically said the same price and I'm 18 yo and a beginner… Around $300.00 but it would defiinitely go up if you are going to finalize the deal.

    Factors are:
1.) Bike Condition (New, Used, Year, Salvaged, Mileage, History, Modification)
2.) Rider condition (Accidents, Tickets, Basically your history… more importantly the experience)
3.) Location (Northern part of US would be more cheaper than riding in Florida, California, Texas….)
4.) Type of Insurance (Full coverage, part coverage)

So you probably live in a place somewhere in the South with a bike that is pretty darn new. You might have a perfect record but that's a different story(would give you a small amount of discount).

Marital status does not make a difference when you are only 19. Your rates don't start getting cheaper until you are around 25 and or married.

Since you are a 19 year old male, you are probably considered somewhat high risk especially on a death machine crotch rocket.

    It's going to be expensive.

A lot would depend on what your driving record, your age and your home location.
I'm assuming the starting price of the insurance will not be cheap based on the motorcycle type.
Call around to local insurance agency offices and ask. I'm sure they would love the chance to quote on your insurance business.

It depends on the company. I am an insurance agent for a major A+ carrier. We go by when you have had you regular drivers lic, and if you have a car, then its even cheaper. As you can see, our rates are really competative with motorcycles. I am from CA, email me and I will take care of you.

I have progressive for my motorcycle insurance as well. I pay $100 for a year of insurance. I am paying it on a 1983 Honda CB550SC Nighthawk cruiser with liability only, and I also have another policy with them for my car insurance, along with I'm 23 with no accidents. The question as far as deductibles has to do with if you want liability or full coverage insurance. Liability is where they won't pay for damages to your bike, and full coverage means they will. Your age, type of bike (cruiser, sport, touring, etc), age of bike, size of motor, accident record, and whether or not you choose full coverage or liability, and if so what deductible you choose for full coverage all plays a part of your insurance premium. Email me at biker_lbf_406@hotmail.com with any questions you may have, and I can help you in choosing which options to choose, to make sure you get the quote for what your looking for insurance wise.

Your not going to get cheap insurance with a record like that, but you can get on-line quotes from almost every insurance company. Just use google to search for them
