What are They Charging you? – Understanding Credit Card Insurances

Whenever you are shopping for a Credit Card you always wonder what all those insurances that come with the Credit Card Package stand for and how to issue a claim if something happens to you.
Each Credit Card Issuer offers different insurance programs and names them in different ways.
However, following is a list of the most common insurance programs available and a brief explanation of each one.
Names may vary but the concept remains the same.
Whenever you feel that any of the following events occur, don’t hesitate to contact your credit card issuer and inform them that the occurrence reflected in the insurance contract has taken place and that you want to know how to receive proper assistance on the matter.
Purchase Safety Insurance
Each time you buy goods with your credit card and those goods happen to be damaged, or get lost or robbed, you can always get your credit card company to reimburse the full or part of the purchase price in compliance with the insurance policy.
This is specially useful when you buy expensive home appliances as anything that might happen will be covered by the policy even if your home insurance policy also covers these events.
Theft Insurance
As long as you call your credit card issuer immediately after you loose or get your card stolen, the credit card company will block the card and not charge you for any purchase made after the theft or reimburse you the money if the purchase has already been processed.
Bear in mind also, that not only should you report the robbery due to the insurance but because it is also a legal duty.
Fraud Insurance Protection
Identity theft has became a growing issue for credit card companies, as it is driving away customers from credit cards that do not include this kind of insurance. Whenever you are subject to fraud due to the use of your credit card number and identity to make purchases without your consent, you should immediately let your credit card issuer know that fact and tag that operation as unauthorized.
The money will be placed on hold till the problem is solved and any payment processed will be reimbursed if the fraud is confirmed.
Travel annulment Insurance
If you’ve bought a plane ticket and maybe hotel reservations or other vocational products and something happens that forces you to suspend or cancel, you’ll be covered by this policy. You’ll get reimbursed in full or partly according to the insurance policy and you might also get to change the tourist-pack in order to go on vacations on another date.
Travel Accident Insurance
Last, but not least, this insurance will cover any accidents or even death during your travels. Let’s put aside the event of death which works exactly as a death insurance.
In case of an accident, all your costs, including medical bills, transportation, phone calls, medicine, etc will be fully covered by the insurance company.

and his family lived in the church parsonage, but after his death his widow and the children had no choice but to move to make room for the church’s new pastor. The church gave them time to do this, but that time ran out. Members of the church and community have rallied around this family, holding several fundraising events to help the Whites find a place to live. From these efforts, Danna was able to purchase two run-down trailers. The pastor’s life insurance also gave her enough money to …

n 2003 there was a boy named Link, and his friends at school were bullying him and laughing at him because his name was the same as a game character, Half a year he was found in the kitchen with a knife. He had slit his throat. If you don’t put this on 3 videos in 10 minutes, he will stab you with the knife in your neck while you’re asleep

Most of what you heard is wrong.
1) You do not need to send a Form 1098E when you make a credit card payment.
2) The credit card company does not get money from the fed equal to the credit limit when they set a credit limit.
3) When you make a payment it is not all profit for them. If they had to borrow the money originally, then they need the money from you to repay whoever loaned them the money. If they initially used money that they already had, then their profit is the difference between the payment from you and their basis, that is, the amount of their money that they originally invested.
4) They do not have insurance to cover the defaults.
5) They lose money when they sell written-off debt. They have already paid the merchant (in cases of a purchase) or you (in cases of a cash advance) and selling the debt for less than they paid the merchant or loaned you; therefore, they end with less money than they had originally.

I recommend getting the Newlywed Handbook from http://www.thenest.com (sister site of the knot). It has a bunch of info in there on how to deal with this situation. Bottom line, though…he needs to understand money, where it comes from and where it goes…and that you cannot spend more then you have unless you HAVE to…

take look down the road. The Tacoma holds it value allot more than that lazer. You are going to be in a worse situation with what the you owe on the vehicle and what it`s worth. It`s pay me now or pay me later. By the time you pay off the lazer it won`t be worth anything and in my book the car is junk. Go on kelly blue book and research. Tacoma`s good for 300k miles and Mitsubishi 130k head problems ,cv joints,

I appreciate your hesitation to cause any more grief to the family, but they have paid for insurance (I hope) for just such instances. If their insurance company pays for your son's medical expenses, it will be nothing out of the pockets of this family.
If you have an insurance agent, contact him/her and ask their advice about this situation. If they're worth their salt, they will pursue it themselves on your behalf.
Good luck.

I do not think age has much to do with it. My oldest daughter is married to a guy her age (mid 20’s now but 22 when they got married). I could not wish for a better, more loving, or hard working son-in-law. He is still young with a great sense of humor and fun loving… he is a WOW addict… so he is in no way boring.
I realize that your situation is, unfortunately, much different from my daughter’s. It is not easy to find the right mate… I have not found her yet either LOL.
Most women are a few years more mature than men their own chronological age. However, that does not mean that someone your own age cannot be a wonderful husband.

You can get a free consultation for a bankruptcy attorney, they will see you free the first time. You don't have enough income to file a chapter 13 and get this debt taken care of in a plan payment.A chapter 13 is for 5 years, not 3…3 depending on a good paying income. What you need to do is contact them and get in to see them, they'll look at your income, debts, assets if any, and taxes for the last 3 or 4 years. You will most likely qualify for a chapter 7 filing. It will discharge all the debts, the debts stay on your credit report 7 years, the bankruptcy for 10 years. Sorry that you got stuck with this debt, but..you are young enough that filing a bankruptcy will stay on your credit report for 10 years, but as little as 3 years, you can have your credit back up to where you need it to be. At the point that the bankruptcy falls off your credit report you will be 32, you'll have re established your credit and you will be fine. The one thing you need to consider, if you do file, any student loans for school will be hard to get. Any apartment rentals will be rough if they check credit as well as jobs in the financial field are tougher to get with a bankruptcy. Some check, some don't. You can review more information on bankruptcy at their official website @ http://www.usbankruptcy.gov FYI…I filed last year, discharged in 02/08….have already had a new harley davidson loan with my hubby with so/so credit, had it for 8 months paid as agreed and just traded for a larger bike, with no problems but showing proof of income…..3 months after I filed, I was pre approved for a 500.00 limit credit card, 90 days after good pays, they increased my limit. I am re establishing my credit and my credit score has grown in the last year, so..it can be done. It just takes good solid work, good payment history, but, it can be achieved. Good Luck!

The rental company has liability coverage on their vehicles. In general, liability coverage follows the vehicle not the driver. You CC insurance will pay for the damage to the rental vehicle. The rental company's liability coverage will pay for the damage to the other vehicle up to the policy limits. In most cases, the rental company only carries compulsory limits. If you have auto insurance of your own, contact your insurance company. Your own coverage MAY provide excess primary liability coverage.
