Travelers Insurance – Delivery

Travelers Insurance - Delivery

One of the first things you should think about when you start a business is buying insurance. The costs of comprehensive business insurance are small compared with the risks that you are taking if you don’t have insurance.

There are some very easy ways to find the cheapest insurance and the cover that is right for your business. Using the internet is a great way to compare different quotes. If you can see quotes from leading insurance providers side by side it makes it easier to choose the cheapest cover and the one that suits your business the most.

The type of business insurance you should have for your business depends upon the business you run and the activities you do. In the UK one of the most common types of insurance is Public Liability Insurance. It forms the core of many business insurance policies.

Public Liability Insurance protects your business against claims for any injury or damage your business activities may cause to another person or their property. This is an especially important cover for businesses that have people visiting their premises or go out and visit other people’s premises.

Professional Indemnity Insurance is another cover that is designed for consulting businesses such as Business Consultants. This protects them for claims against them due to advice given which may have caused a financial loss for a client.

Employers Liability Insurance is a cover that is a legal requirement for companies in the UK. It protects businesses for claims made by employees if they are injured or fall ill whilst at work due to their employers negligence.

Other additional covers included with business insurance could be Tool and Equipment Insurance, Business Buildings Insurance, Commercial Vehicle Insurance, as well as any other cover you think you may need depending on the type of business you run.

I totally agree. You should submit the idea to a film studio. This commercial would make a great movie.

IF the only thing you're renting is the space, you need "owner, landlord & tenant" style general liability. If you're ALSO renting the chair to them, you'll need a rental equipment liability type policy, and you might want to insure the chair, also.

A local agent can get you set up with the proper coverage type.

Likely you'd need a commercial auto policy – retail class, which is VERY expensive. Plus, you couldn't do errands with people in the CAR, unless you get a public AUTO policy – limo class, even more expensive, and pretty hard to get.

You MIGHT have to have a PUC filing in your state for this, I'm not sure. Then you need an "inland marine" policy (sometimes called cargo coverage) to cover the stuff in your car tht belongs to other people.

And workers comp if you have any employees.

Travellers is the only insurance company that I have ever dealt with that went out of its way to cheat me. Caveat emptor

  9. ERIC F Says:

You need to sit down with a local, independent agent. Likely he's going to recommend several policies – workers compensation for sure, general liability, commercial property coverage including an equipment floater, and commercial auto coverage.

You switched your insurance company because of a cute commercial?? No one’s that naive

  11. York22 Says:

This is such a great ad. Funny, uplifting, and very touching. What a charming man!!!.

  12. MerryBerry Says:

We have a catering company in San Diego. We called a couple of companies that sell business insurance and found one pretty easily. You need to ensure that you have liability insurance, to protect yourself. We have a $2 million policy, but you may or may not need that much, depending on your area, your volume etc. Also are you an LLC?

Another possibility is to try any good insurance agent, or friend and ask for a referral. Your accountant may know of one, as well. Call a restaurant or deli owner or manager in your area for a referral, but do it during off peak times.

Don't get hung up on the type of business. Call a couple of business insurance agencies and tell them what you are looking for. Good luck!

  13. DUSTYBASS Says:

Wow, that commercial is great. If you can paint Travelers as a compassionate caring company that realizes customers are it’s life blood, do you think you can give me a PR makeover, I’m very misunderstood. I’m really a nice guy if you give me a chance. Thanks, Hanibal Lechter….(.p.s. Fava beans anyone??)

maddogg, Life insurance covers lots of different things. Since I'm from Alabama I'm not familiar with the Illinois laws and regulations, so I recommend you visit a local insurance agent. http://www.easylifeinsuranceguide.com/Illinois-Life-Insurance.html They should be able to assist you.
